Let’s face it. We all have ’em. What’s your favorite?
+ I don’t know what to do.
+ I’m tired.
+ I’ll do it later.
+ I tried that already.
+ I don’t have time.
+ I’m just so overwhelmed I don’t know where to start.
+ I’m afraid.
It really doesn’t matter what your favorite excuse is. The end result is the same. Nothing changes. You feel stuck. Your business languishes or dies. Your relationships feel stale and old. Your dreams live in your head and you never get to experience the joy of doing what you truly love.
What will it be for you today? More excuses? Or finding someone who is willing to support you, cheer you on and partner with you to explore the possibilities you can’t see and access the resources you’re looking for to move forward?
TODAY’S TIP: Acknowledge your excuses, find support and do one thing to move toward making your dreams a reality. Have a THRIVING Thursday!

I’m a dreamer. You may have heard me say that before. True confessions: until a few years ago I was a ‘closet’ dreamer. I didn’t often talk about my dreams or share them with anyone except maybe my husband and a close friend or two. And, I certainly had doubts that any of them could or would become reality.
Then I jumped ‘all-in’ into the world of entrepreneurial business and I learned about Barbara Sher and Barbara Winter. Both of these amazing, brilliant, funny women, and several wonderful friends (including Nancy, Darla, Gail and Rebecca) have opened my eyes and heart to the truth that dreams do and can become reality. Is it luck? Is it good fortune? Is it knowing the right people? Yes, yes, yes and MORE!
How are you living into your dreams?
Read Building a Hothouse for Your Dreams, a wonderful post by Barbara Winter about how to nurture and care for your dreams.
TODAY’S TIP: Nurture your dreams and have a tremendous Tuesday!
It’s Monday already!! Hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend. So, on this last day of the holiday, be sure to thank the FAMILIES of all who are currently serving in the military or who have lost a loved one who served. It’s important to show support for the families who love and care for the folks in our armed forces.
Special thanks to my daughter-in-law, Katy, and my grandchildren, Avry and Lauryn, and my daughter, Jana.
TODAY’S TIP: Thank the families of those who are currently serving in the military or those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty. Have a thankful Memorial Day Monday.
Thank those folks who are active military for their service today! I especially want to thank my son, Adam, who is currently serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, and my son-in-law, Ryan, who is serving in the Air Force.
Don’t know anyone personally? Ask around. I’ll bet someone you know has a friend or relative who is serving.
TODAY’S TIP: Thank anyone you know or encounter who is currently on active duty in the military. Have a grateful Sunday.
On this first day of the Memorial Day weekend, please keep in mind all those who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty in military service in this country and those who served and have passed away. It is because of their commitment and service that we enjoy the freedom we have today.
TODAY’S TIP: Visit a cemetery, pay your respects and offer thanks and gratitude for those who have served in the military. Have a remembering Saturday.
Gotta love Seth Godin. He’s succinct, thought provoking and brilliant. Take a look at his post for today:
Overcoming the Impossibility of Amazing
If you set your bar at “amazing,” it’s………
TODAY’S TIP: Have a just-where-you-are-amazing Friday!
This week has been International Coach Week, an acknowledgement and celebration of the coaching profession. If you’re looking for a partner to help you strengthen your leadership skills, grow your business, learn how to better deal with stress and overwhelm, take control of your finances, organize your life, find a job that you love, or help you get clear about what you want out of life and how to get it, it’s time to contact a coach.
Coaches provide support by listening and asking powerful questions. We delight in helping you recognize where you are and where you want to go. We work with you so you can create a plan to get you there, overcome challenges and we especially enjoy celebrating your successes!
Here are some of the reasons why my clients chose to work with me:
+ I’ve been really frustrated with a situation with my co-worker at my job and would love some ideas on how I can deal with the situation in a more positive way.
+ I want to get a handle on my money stuff and build up a savings account but when I have money to set aside, I splurge, and then there’s nothing left to save.
+ I have a project I want to have completed and I know I won’t get it done if I don’t have someone who will keep me on track.
+ I’m ready to start my new business and I need help figuring out where to begin.
+ I have a million ideas for my coaching business but I feel stuck and don’t know which one to do first or how to get started.
+ I would love some help re-branding my coaching business because I have a new focus.
+ I’ve written a book and gotten it published. Now I want to promote it, but I’m not sure how to effectively market it.
+ I’m tired of waking up every day worrying about money and would like to learn how I can stop doing that.
+ I’ve got a lot things going on my my life and need some help figuring out what my priorities are.
+ I want to grow my business but I’m not sure what to do to make that happen.
