How often during the day do you check in with your ‘heart energy’? Are you attuned to that amazing organ in your chest that not only gives you life, but also reflects your experiences and feelings? You know what I’m talking about — how when you’re joyously happy, you feel like your heart is singing or when you are feeling really sad and depressed it feels like a rock or when you’re terrified, it feels like it’s either stuck in your throat or trying to thump its way out of your chest!
Your heart is a real-time indicator of the joy in your life. Pay attention to those times when your heart is singing and do what you can to have more of that (whatever it is that’s making your heart sing) in your life!
TODAY’S TIP: Have a heart-felt Thursday and post some of the things that make your heart sing below!
Music to my ears for a brief twenty minutes or so yesterday — raindrops on the barn roof! I was really hoping it would continue for a few hours since we need it so badly. The weather forecast includes rain here today. I’m praying for that refreshing, renewing moisture to drop from the sky and wash the dust from the plants and trees, cool things off a bit, and give my garden that wonderful wet boost it’s been waiting for.
TODAY’S TIP: Take some time today to refresh and renew your spirit, your relationships, your thoughts and your life! Have a refreshing Sunday!
Happy 4th of July everyone!
As we celebrate today, let’s please keep in mind all those folks who have helped make this possible through their sacrifice and service, including military veterans, active military, law enforcement personnel and all of their families.
And, I’m sending a special shout-out and some love to someone who is very near and dear to me as she is, at this moment, on her way to join a team of folks fighting a fire that is burning fiercely in Alaska.
Wishing everyone a grateful, joy-filled, safe 4th of July!!
TODAY’S TIP: Thank a military veteran, someone who is actively serving in the military, or someone who is in law enforcement (or thank a member of their family), for their service and have a happy and safe 4th of July!
Another gorgeous summer day at the ranch!
If you’re a person who rushes around getting lots of stuff done everyday, or checks your text messages a million times, or usually has a grand time playing video games, emailing or surfing the web for hours, today is the day to re-prioritize, get outside, find a beautiful, relaxing spot at home or somewhere nearby and just drink in the sights, sounds and smells of summer! This is a NO-FEE, NO-CHARGE, COMPLETELY FREE opportunity to refresh and refill your spirit.
TODAY’S TIP: Refresh your spirit with quiet, contemplative time outdoors. Have a SENSATIONAL Sunday!
I love having a special day every year to remember and honor dads. I was blessed to have a father who shared his joy and enthusiasm for life with me and my sisters as we grew up. I’m grateful for the many life lessons he modeled, some of which were love, faith, responsibility, generosity, and life-long learning. And, I’m thankful for the gifts that he shared with me and that have become a part of who I am — his love of music, gardening, his sense of humor, his seemingly boundless energy, rhythm and his ready smile. Fond memories of my dad include summer vacations at the beach, parades, beer, the smell of cigars, polkas, red beet eggs, Lionel trains, a Pennsylvania Dutch accent, Old Spice, helping me learn how to catch a fly ball, ties, buying fresh vegetables from the roadside stands of local farmers, John Philip Sousa marches, carpooling, the Shriner’s circus, sticky buns, Birch Beer and Mack Trucks.
Thanks, dad, for believing in me, encouraging me and loving me.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Enjoy your day!
TODAY’S TIP: Hug your dad. If that’s not possible, share one fond memory you have of your dad or of someone in your life who was like a father to you. Have a great Father’s Day!
This week has been International Coach Week, an acknowledgement and celebration of the coaching profession. If you’re looking for a partner to help you strengthen your leadership skills, grow your business, learn how to better deal with stress and overwhelm, take control of your finances, organize your life, find a job that you love, or help you get clear about what you want out of life and how to get it, it’s time to contact a coach.
Coaches provide support by listening and asking powerful questions. We delight in helping you recognize where you are and where you want to go. We work with you so you can create a plan to get you there, overcome challenges and we especially enjoy celebrating your successes!
Here are some of the reasons why my clients chose to work with me:
+ I’ve been really frustrated with a situation with my co-worker at my job and would love some ideas on how I can deal with the situation in a more positive way.
+ I want to get a handle on my money stuff and build up a savings account but when I have money to set aside, I splurge, and then there’s nothing left to save.
+ I have a project I want to have completed and I know I won’t get it done if I don’t have someone who will keep me on track.
+ I’m ready to start my new business and I need help figuring out where to begin.
+ I have a million ideas for my coaching business but I feel stuck and don’t know which one to do first or how to get started.
+ I would love some help re-branding my coaching business because I have a new focus.
+ I’ve written a book and gotten it published. Now I want to promote it, but I’m not sure how to effectively market it.
+ I’m tired of waking up every day worrying about money and would like to learn how I can stop doing that.
+ I’ve got a lot things going on my my life and need some help figuring out what my priorities are.
+ I want to grow my business but I’m not sure what to do to make that happen.

Complete that statement: Get out……..
Get out of here!
Get out of the box!
Get out of your office!
Get out of the car!
Any other ways you can complete the phrase?
All of those statements mean the same thing to me: shake things up and GET OUT — move your body! Every day is an opportunity to reconnect with the healing power of nature and restore the amazing powers of the mind and body. Do you take advantage of this incredible opportunity which is so simple, costs nothing and has the ability to have such a positive impact on your life?
Here are my top 3 reasons to GET OUT!
1. It helps me relax which leads to greater creativity.
2. It clears my head of clutter which results in great clarity and helps me refocus on what I truly want.
3. It’s just DARNED FUN!! When I’ve worked myself into a frenzy about what I didn’t do, what I need to do and what I should be doing and I’m feeling exhausted and overwhelmed, I know it’s time to take a break! I’m always amazed at how spending time outside mowing the lawn, gardening, blowing bubbles, playing with my horses, fishing, walking in the grass with my shoes off, blowing dandelion puffs into the wind or just sitting on a bench and taking in some fresh air restores and re-energizes me.
